Children's Ministry

Faith formation begins at HOME, the domestic church.  The parish assists by providing opportunities for family activities, individual enrichment and religious education and formation for all ages.  Each parishioner is a model of living faith and continual growth for our children.

GRAPEVINE, religious education instruction for children in grades 1-5, takes place on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 pm and runs from October through May.  Through class time, prayer time and play time, children are introduced to the beliefs, values, and traditions of our faith.   Registration is required.

SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION is for children and youth in 2nd through 12th grade to receive their First Reconciliation and First Communion.  Preparation classes are held on select Sundays following the 9 am mass for BOTH children and their parents or guardians.  Registration is required and children must have at least one year of religious education prior to registration.

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR CHILDREN, based on the R.C.I.A., this process of Christian initiation is adapted for children and youth (ages 7 and up) who have not been baptized Catholic.  Preparation sessions are held Sunday mornings beginning in September and continue through Easter Vigil.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (VBS): For one week in the summer, children gather for bible stories, crafts, prayer and fun.  This is also a great opportunity for older children to take leadership roles.
